• Leah Remini’s Kahn Job: Exploiting a Young Man and his Beliefs for Profit

Leah Remini continues to shamelessly insert her reality TV cameras into private family matters, distorting the truth with smears for her hate-filled agenda. Remini’s latest gimmick involves exploiting Sammy Kahn, 25, for his beliefs.

Sammy says he sees through it all. His parents are letting themselves be used as tools by Remini, co-host Mike Rinder and A+E executives, who are only in it to make money exploiting him and his family. They don’t respect Sammy’s privacy, his personal beliefs or the decisions he makes as a mature, independent and successful adult because all they care about is making a buck while spreading hate and bigotry.

Sammy says he sees through it all. His parents are letting themselves be used as tools by Remini, co-host Mike Rinder and A+E executives.

“It seems like someone else is wanting her to do this,” Sammy said. “They have their own vested interests for whatever reason or they want to make money or they just want to put on a show to get views.”

Sammy has made it crystal clear to his parents that he will not be dragged into the drama of his mother’s and father’s anti-religious fanaticism stoked by Leah Remini and Mike Rinder for their own financial purposes. Sammy just wants to be left alone to live his life as he wants without his parents dictating his personal choices and beliefs.

According to longtime family friend Ben Kugler, Mary Kahn’s actions came as she was preparing to leave her husband David (they eventually stayed together) because their marriage was unraveling. He said that Sammy made it clear to his mother that he wanted no part of her bitterness and drama involved in her attacks on his faith and reiterated in no uncertain terms that they could maintain a relationship if she didn’t go down that path.

“Mary definitely knew what the consequences would be especially from Sammy who was devoted to the Church and Sammy did not want to have that negativity in his life,” Kugler said. “She decided to beat her chest and complain about her religion as being the source of her undoing in life and I think it’s pathetic.”

Sammy made it clear to his mother that he wanted no part of her bitterness.

As Sammy notes, it’s his mother who is causing their estrangement by venomously condemning his beliefs and spreading propaganda about it, sitting in judgment of his choices while attacking and condemning them. He told her he doesn’t want that kind of poisoned attitude in his life, and wants nothing to do with her attacks on the religion that is important to him.

“Me not being in my mom’s life is really her choice,” Sammy said. ”I thoroughly disagree with everything that they’re participating in and what they’re doing.”

Sammy continued, “She knows her son is not going to be part of this, is not going to be part of her life and yet still decides to go down whatever road. So, I mean in my mind, that ain’t good parenting…she’s very much turning her back on me in that way.”

Sammy says he would have maintained a relationship with his parents if they had simply refrained from their harassment and antagonism toward his life choices and faith. It didn’t matter that his parents are no longer Scientologists. But where he drew the line was at the bitter hate and hostility they are promoting, made worse by their agreeing to let the family be exploited by Remini in her reality TV show.

“Obviously I don’t want to be part of any group, family or otherwise, that has opposition to what I want to do and my goals just because it’s not fun to be around for anyone,” Sammy said. “So whether it’s a familial tie or not, it’s not nice to be around that kind of thing. So ultimately we all just want to be happy and so that’s what it is for me.”

To make matters worse, Sammy recently discovered his mother was never fully honest with him growing up. He found out from Ben Kugler that he had a half-brother from an early marriage of his mother’s, a marriage and a sibling Mary Kahn never told her son Sammy about.

Kugler thought Sammy knew he had a half-brother and only became aware while talking to Sammy that he was breaking the news to him for the first time.

“He will never forget that dinner where he found out, not from his mother, but from his parents’ one-time best friends that she was married, had a child, had a divorce in that marriage and gave up custody of that child.”

“He never knew that his mother was married and had a son who was in his 40s now,” Kugler said. “He will never forget that dinner where he found out, not from his mother, but from his parents’ one-time best friends that she was married, had a child, had a divorce in that marriage and gave up custody of that child.”

Bottom Line: Mary Kahn was dishonest with her son his whole life. That appears to be one thing consistent about her: dishonesty.
