For whatever reason, I got into a big study on brainwashing techniques, because they like to bandy about the term “brainwashing.” She [Leah Remini] says, “You’re brainwashed to believe that you lived before,” “You’re brainwashed that you’re responsible for what you do.” I mean, it’s really weird the way she takes these harmless or neutral datums and make it “brainwashing.” But nonetheless, brainwashing is a big deal here.
So, I actually did some study on brainwashing, by the, you know, the authorities on this subject, Robert Lifton, etc. And one thing that struck me is, is that, this whole format of this show, talk about projection, is really, one of the—it sort of follows a pattern and technique of brainwashing. And that is, you—the manuals, you create a huge discomfort, disturbance, distraction, emotionally charged, okay. And then you stop it and then you throw in a datum.
The guy comes in the cell and says, you know, “You’re all good communist soldiers,” right. “Long live Mao and screw the United States.” And then the chaos begins again. And then you stop. And they found that those datums stick in the subconscious, right. And that’s exactly what they do here.
They show this, you know, heartrending, you know, montage of this horrendous looking thing and then—Leah then cuts in and throws in these datums that are from outer space, okay. They bear no resemblance to reality, and yet those are the impressions, those are the memes that get created in the minds of the viewers.
For example, “Anything that doesn’t contribute to the intention of ‘clearing the planet’ is considered counter-intention. If you are being a child, that is considered counter-intention. If you want your mommy or daddy, you are being counter-intention.”
She invented these datums. These datums don’t exist anywhere in Scientology. They don’t even exist, you know, in my 28 years within—they don’t even exist, you know, as aberrations that, you know, some whack was applying. You understand what I’m saying? It’s that far made up. There’s nothing in Scientology that says anything of the sort.
She just literally created datums, okay. And the whole narrative reinforces these false datums. It’s tailored that way to do so. It’s utter propaganda. It’s utter propaganda. You know, if brainwashing is too extreme or too involved or complicated of a concept, propaganda you can understand. I mean, that’s what this is.
